Rector Search

  • Letter to the Parish & Search Outline

The process for calling a new rector must be carried out prayerfully and with great care. It will require a commitment of time, energy and resources. It is the Search Committee who is entrusted with the holy work of finding their congregation’s next pastor, priest, and teacher.

    The Search Committee will :
    Interview Candidates
    Review written materials
    Zoom interviews
    In-Person Interviews
Vestry meets candidates but does not interview
    Discern Finalist
Recommend ONE name to the Vestry

The appointment of a Search Committee frees up the Vestry to focus on leading the church through the transition.

The Search Committee will maintain frequent and clear communications with the parish as deemed appropriate. Keep in mind, the Committee must maintain strict confidence about the names of candidates. Updates will be posted here, as well as through all-parish emails.
