Hanging of the Greens

Sunday, December 17th following the 10:30 service.
Come and join in the fun with decorating the church, snacks, beverages and Christmas music. 

 

Christmas Poinsettia Memorials

Envelopes are available in the pews to make your Christmas poinsettia memorial. The suggested donation is $25. Memorials need to be received by Monday, December 18th to appear in the Christmas Eve bulletins.


Sweats for Vets is back!

A collection box is located in the Parish Hall

Sweat shirts and pants, as well as diabetic compression socks are needed for the Veteran Centers in Ardmore and Sulphur. Place in the boxes in the Parish Hall.


St. Philip’s Prayer Circle

The Prayer Circle is for urgent prayer requests. Call Lynda Campbell at 580-226-3037 or 580-572-1817.

For those who have on-going prayer requests, please write them on the prayer list we use on Sundays. That list is found on the table in the back of the church. If you are not in church to add your prayer(s) call Jane Volkema at 580-226-2191 or email Jane at stpadmin@cableone.net, and she will write them in for you.


Adult Christian Education ~ Sundays at 9:15 a.m.


Wednesday Bible Study ~ 6:30 p.m. in the Canterbury Room

Childcare is provided from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Women in the Bible 

Who were the women in the Bible? Ambitious Bathsheba who saw her chance and took it. Or ruthless Jezebel, the original ‘painted hussy’. Or the apostle Mary Magdalene, witness to the Resurrection. Or the lonely, unloved Leah.

Other stuff...

* If you need a place the practice your piano lessons, but do not own a piano, you may use the one in the choir room. Call the parish office 226-2191 to schedule a rehearsal time. Times are available Monday - Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

* We will be participating in the Foster Childrens Christmas Gift program again this year. It will be headed up by Elizabeth Negrete-Gaylor. Watch for details.

* The Mission Leadership Team is still collecting plastic grocery bags and egg cartons for the Food and Resource Center. There is a drop box in the hall by the Parish Office.

Become a Sunday Supper Sponsor

For only $125 you can sponsor a hot meal for over 100 people who might not otherwise have a meal that day! Drop your sponsorship check in the offertory plate with Sunday Supper in the memo line. Or mail it to: St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, 516 McLish, Ardmore, OK 73401. You don’t need to be a member of the parish to sponsor a Sunday Supper. Web Surfers are welcome to help out with a donation. 


Sign up for Altar Flowers 

Call Georgean Dexter at 580-220-1404 to reserve your date. Flowers are given to the glory of God, and then in honor of, in memory of, or in thanksgiving or celebration for a person or occasion. After the 10 a.m. service, the bouquets are delivered to hospitalized or shut-in parishioners, or to those with some milestone celebration. All dedications will cost $75 (or what you can afford). Make your dedication requests for a particular Sunday by calling Georgean Dexter at the number above. Dates are available starting in September.


Now Collecting…. Plastic shopping bags empty egg cartons  Please bring in your plastic shopping bags and egg cartons and we will bring them to the Food and Resource Center. They need them there for giving out the food. There is a box in the Parish Hall to put these items
